Work description:

The Part Time Greenhouse/Farm Laborer is responsible for growing flowers and other plants for distribution and sale at Home Depot Garden Centers. They serve as some of the hardest workers during our seasonal months. This function is responsible for many parts of the plant growth cycle at our production sites and contributes to some of the highest quality plants in the entire industry.

Requirements:

Must be able to climb stairs, use a pallet jack
Capable of carrying 50lbs repeatedly throughout the greenhouse.
Ability to maneuver between greenhouse tables that are 24 inches apart
Must have good dexterity skills.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Sowing, thinning, weeding, transplanting and moving plants.

Application of fertilizers / pesticides when applicable

SKILLS AND COMPETENCES:

Ability to work effectively and in a cohesive team environment with all areas.
Must be able to work in a security conscious environment
Ability to follow instructions
